Great to see the application is finally available. Early reviews are generally positive, which is a good sign. When will we see the mounting kit for vehicles? Also, does this include map updates for life?
Works great. Got me where I needed to go yesterday. The two suggestions I can give for future improvement:
The ability to have street names read out. TTS usually has a difficult time with this I am aware, however I found the engine can usually deal with this pretty well.
The other option that would be nice is live traffic information. Gokivo seems to have had this ability, so you don’t go right into some really busy part of a town you know little about the traffic patterns about.
Other than that, I would say Tomtom for iPhone is solid.
When will be be able to get the mounting hardware to match the iphone software? (That I am downloading as we I type.)
i have a friend who had the oppertunity to use this app on an iphone.
His experience showed that its hard for the iphone to pick up a strong enough signal from the satelliets in order for triangulation. but wait dont get to upset they are making an in car stand with a better reciever so it looks like you iphone fans can keep them going strong. keep up the good work TomTom
