2009 marks the fourth year TomTom has participated in the Pan Massachusetts Challenge, an annual charity bike-a-thon to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Research Institute. Once again, despite the weekend’s rather unpredictable weather, our team survived – traveling over 190 miles across Massachusetts!
Given the arduous nature of the challenge, the PMC takes every precaution to ensure the safety of these riders – including providing an on-call emergency response team. This year, TomTom helped out the crew by equipping the emergency vehicles with TomTom navigation systems. In time of need, the crew was able to easily navigate to incident scenes.
To date, the PMC has contributed over $239 million to Dana-Farber, a truly amazing and honorable contribution. To learn more about the event, please visit www.pmc.org.
