The new TomTom ONE XL is about more than just getting from A to B – though certainly it does that admirably.

Well, where ONE XL’s widescreen comes in most handy are in densely populated or particularly difficult to navigate areas like cities where turns are frequent. Having a bigger better view from side-to-side can help you anticipate turns better because you can see them sooner.

Also, on long open roads, the widescreen can make it much easier to see forthcoming POIs off of the highway. This can be really helpful if you’re low on gas or just very hungry.
