When I install new poi's and bmp's on my 130s, I find that when I use the tomtom to find one of these new poi's, that each poi category shows up twice in the poi list. Once at the top without the icon, and with an empty set of pois and once further down in the list but correctly populated and with the right icon. How do I make that false one go away?

There's no POI update yet. However, you can make your own POI sets if
you're interested. The folks at www.tomtomforums.com are a great
resource for downloading and installing 'homebrew' POI sets. Keep in
mind, they aren't affiliated with TomTom, but they're a great bunch of
enthusiasts!

I have a tomtom One. I live in Tennessee. I love my tom tom, but in my travels I have found that not many Interstate highway rest areas are in the POI's. Is there an update available or somewhere I could go to access more of these? Thanks.

You can obtain POI's from Google maps to a GPX file using the method given here:

http://www.elsewhere.org/journal/gmaptogpx.

You can then convert the file to an ov2 file using the free POIEdit program from:

http://www.poiedit.com/
