This is the first in a series of Club TomTom articles spotlighting the employees of TomTom Inc. Every Friday we’ll feature another member of the TomTom team, and they will offer their tips and tricks for getting the most out of your TomTom. To kick it off, we’re starting with Marketing Manager Matt Colby.

Matt joined TomTom Inc. in 2003 as employee number four! He’s one of the longest-serving members of the team. He manages the retail and e-tail marketing strategies for all TomTom products in North America. All those displays you see in the stores, yeah, he guided those through design, production, and implementation.
He’s a graduate of the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) and worked at several .com companies while the bubble was growing.
Matt is an avid Red Sox fan and recently discovered a love for motorcycles.
In his car you’ll find a TomTom GO 510 which comes in very handy when he has to visit various retailers across the country. When asked about any tips for other TomTom users, he grins widely. “Turn on a point of interest warning alarm for when you’re near police stations.” (Shame on you Matt! TomTom does NOT advocate speeding. Drive safely and obey all traffic laws!)
So, in short, Matt rides motorcycles, speeds, and roots for the Red Sox: three very dangerous activities.
