One of the fun features of TomTom that we use a lot is the ability to change the navigation voice – the voice that tells you which way to go and when to turn. Sometimes simple things like changing the prerecorded voice can be enough to lighten the mood on a long road trip or cheer us up when we’re having a tough day. Our favorite is recording one of our children to speak the directions using TomTom’s personally recorded voice function, but we also love using novelty or celebrity voices (like the fun “scary” voices we released for Halloween!).
If you haven’t experimented with your TomTom voices yet, you can find instructions for changing your GPS navigation voice here.
Which brings us to our latest poll: Go to the poll area in the right sidebar of the Club TomTom blog and vote on which type of navigation voice is your favorite:
- Computer text-to-speech (spoken street names)
- Standard navigation voice
- Celebrity/Funny voice
- Personally-recorded voice
- Hey! My GPS doesn’t have spoken instructions
- Give me a GPS then I’ll decide
We’ll publish the results of this poll in an upcoming blog post.
