How do I delete points of interest that are no longer at their location. Places that have closed or burned down. Also how do I add a new point of interest so others can find them.

Linda,
You don't have to do anything. Your maps are completely seamless. If you're traveling in the US or Canada you don't need to change the settings on your device. The only time you would, would be if you were traveling to Guam or Puerto Rico. Otherwise, you're good to go.

I live in CA and plan to take my TomTom on a trip to Virginia next month. How do I get services for the Virginia area. My system says it's good for North America, Guam and Puerto Rico. But, I don't know how you bring up other States directions info. I'm totally ignorant of how it all works. Help!

To answer your questions: 1) Yes. ONE 3rd ed. has the 'Where am I?' feature. 2) No. TomToms are not for off-road navigation.

I am looking at car GPS navigators with the following features.

1. With a TomTom One 3rd edition, will I be able to get out the GPS
coordinate of my present location and use them to tell emergency workers (police, fire, ambulance) if I do not have a specific address or street intersection or highway milemarker as a location. Will I be able to get out the coordinates if I am in off the road, eg. in the woods or in the desert somewhere, or do I have to be on a mapped road/highway?

2. Conversely, if someone gave me a set of GPS coordinates for a
location on or off the map, will I be able to enter them and ask the
TomTom One to navigate me to point that is closest to the entered GPS
location using the mapped road information, and can I also ask the TomTom One show me a direct route (as a crow flies ... line of sight), e.g., if I am trying to go to a spot in the desert?

Thank you.
