Circuit City survey finds auto GPS devices save time and fuel, maximize fun

This past April, Electronics retailer Circuit City commissioned a survey regarding GPS awareness. More than 3,000 people responded to the survey. The results are pretty enlightening:

  • 71 percent of respondents said “GPS devices save both fuel and time.”
  • 53 percent said a “GPS device would help make the most of my family’s summer road trip.”

See, you’re so enlightened now.

The survey was conducted by Decision Analyst, Inc.

TomTom has saved me tons of gas. The way the roads are now sometimes it can be hard to find an area to turn in when you only know the main roads. I was most impressed when the road I knew was closed due to an accident. The local fire department sent us of into back road farm country in the dark. Two one lane bridges later I was home only ten minutes after I though I would be. Even more amaxing is that I once though Quakertown pa was an hour and 13 minutes from my house. Ask any local and that is what they will tell you. With the TomTom I take 11 turns, without missing one or getting lost and I make the trip in 37 minutes. TomTom has also taken me to a dunken dougnuts when I needed coffee. It is comforting to know that if i need gas, coffee,a meal or any other type of store I can locate it easily and as close to me as possible. TomTom has brought back the joy in driving.
Yesterday I was stuck in a traffic jam. Route 222 often backs up for several lights. I saw a small road, turned on my TomTom and found a new route to get to were I was going. I love my Tom Tom, perhaps that is why I have already talked three friends in to getting one.
