Since 2004 TomTom has attended CeBIT in Hanover, Germany and with every year that passed the stand grew bigger.

 

The 2006 CeBIT stand for TomTom was around the 300 square meters and had two floors. The downstairs floor contained more then 70 products, varying from TomTom RIDER, to NAVIGATOR 5, MOBILE 5, TomTom ONE to our newest GO range; GO 510, GO 710 and GO 910. But there was more to see on the first floor, we had a motorbike, a scooter and one quarter of the stand was dedicated to TomTom WORK, TomTom’s solution for fleet management. The second floor contained 3 meeting rooms, a bar and a lounge area. During the 7 days of the fair the stand was packed and full of trade visitors, consumers and journalists, all interested in TomTom and the cool and exciting products.

The stand was one of a kind; very stylish and unique.

 

 

This year we can say that TomTom’s presence at CeBIT has again been very successful.

TomTom RIDER had great reception at Daytona Bike Week 2006.  The company shared tent space with partner Suzuki and had prime visibility!  Thousands of visitors stopped by, many who were not yet familiar with the motorcycle navigation unit.  Those new to it were awestruck and instantly impressed.  They loved the easy to use interface and the design, not to mention the Bluetooth™ earpiece for voice instruction.  Many people even mentioned going to buy one before the event ended.

Coffee loyalists and sweet-tooth savvies can now breathe a sigh of relief.  When desperate for a Dunkin’ Decaf, Boston Kreme Donut or Jamoca® Almond Fudge ice cream, motorists can now tap their TomTom navigation systems and see Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins logos as Points of Interest (POI) on the 3D map.  Beginning today, fans of Dunkin’ Donuts’ famous coffee blend and 31 Flavors can locate and navigate to over 2,700 Baskin-Robbins nationally and 4,400 Dunkin’ Donuts outposts in 27 states using any of TomTom’s GPS products.  For more information see the full press release here.

TomTom will be at the Daytona 2006 in Daytona Florida for one of the nation’s largest motorcycle rallies in the country.  The Daytona rally will be from March 3 – 13.  TomTom will share tent space with Suzuki and will have a detailed motorcycle on display, demoing several pre-loaded scenic routes provided by MadMaps.  Here are instructions for you to download the 2006 RIDER Mad Map Itinerary.
