TomTom’s free QuickGPSfix service enables a TomTom ONE device to connect with GPS satellites faster than ever before. This means that the position of the TomTom ONE is ‘fixed’ seconds after switching on the device, even if the GPS signal is weak.

You can simply install QuickGPSfix by connecting your TomTom ONE device to a computer running TomTom HOME, TomTom’s free software application. TomTom’s QuickGPSfix predicts the location of GPS satellites for seven days. For the quickest GPS fix available, connect to TomTom HOME at least once a week.

TomTom’s QuickGPSfix is compatible with TomTom GO 910, TomTom GO 510 and the TomTom ONE.

At the 40th annual International CES in Las Vegas, TomTom won multiple awards for its latest product innovations.

First off, the Fujitsu-TEN Eclipse AVN 2210p, in collaboration with TomTom, a leading navigation solutions provider, was awarded a 2007 International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award in the Mobile/Vehicle Electronics Navigation, Safety, and Security, for its custom design plus mobile and entertainment capabilities. “You can never get customer feedback that is not useful.” This is the position of Anne Louise Hanstad, vice president of U.S. marketing for TomTom, who spoke with the Tampa Tribune last week. TomTom understands that a company can gain invaluable insight from customers. TomTom welcomes the feedback and uses it to better its products, services, and overall quality.

As noted recently in the The Tampa Tribune, TomTom used customer reviews to better understand issues associated with the mounting system on the GO 910, responding with a redesign and a free mount replacement program.

TomTom is not alone in this sense, as companies spanning many industries begin to increase the utilization of user reviews and customer feedback. Buyers have access to significantly more information than in the past and can tap into opinions from experts, other users, and independent reviewers rather than focusing solely on what the seller chooses to disclose.
