On Valentine’s Day, Justin Schardin of FORTUNE Small Business wrote a GPS round-up that can be found over at CNN Money.com. The piece highlights – among others – the TomTom ONE. He cites ONE’s “exceptionally detailed maps” and easy data entry. He also adds that, “[s]atellite acquisition was speedy, and I had no signal problems.”

A new report shows that satellite navigation actually makes driving safer. Portable Navigation Devices can help make drivers more relaxed and confident behind the wheel. The survey, commissioned by Aon, Athlon Car Lease, Delta Lloyd (part of Aviva Plc) and TomTom, was conducted by Dutch institute TNO today.

Recently the TomTom GO 910 was featured on GeekBrief.TV after host Cali Lewis used the device for her holiday travels.

Cali preferred the device to other GPS units she had used in the past and particularly enjoyed the variety of navigation voices. She and her travel companion were specifically impressed by Simon. Cali also positively noted the handsfree calling, Bluetooth, and mp3 functionalities.
